A Wedding to Embrace the Golden Autumn

At gotvintage we love weddings — so you can imagine how pleased we were to be invited to prepare the Blumenfisch Villa in Berlin for an autumn wedding. We were tasked with the decoration concept as well as the implementation on-site, and no sooner said than done! The wedding ceremony took place in the villa’s idyllic garden, with a view out across the extensive Wannsee lake. True to the client’s wishes of keeping the focus on the intimacy of the outside ceremony, we decided upon an elegant, pared back style. Our mismatching brown wooden chairs “Carlos” formed the basis of the outdoor concept, and once combined with our lanterns “Ema”, which we converted into glass showcases for the flower arrangements, we had created a relaxed and cozy autumnal atmosphere — to compliment, not distract. For the odd cool breeze during the wedding ceremony, warm blankets and throws were provided for the guests. Between the view of the magnificent villa on one side and the tranquil lake on the other, we used a few of our favorite eye-catchers to bring the two elements together under the warm golden light of autumn.

To Follow the Wedding Ceremony: A Candle Light Dinner

After the beautiful, intimate ceremony, the restaurant of the Wilhelminian-style villa, which had been prepared for dinner, awaited the bridal couple and their guests. As the color scheme for this room we used charismatic, warm and strong accents and combined them with cool, smokey tones. The table decorations were the highlight of our concept: deep red-orange flowers as well as mustard-yellow and dark grey candles perfectly blended into the golden-matt tones of our “Fabio” trays. Our matt-gold cutlery “Ines” with warm accents, alongside our “Acadia” smokey-gray, gold-rimmed champagne coupes, water tumblers and wine glasses completed the look. The sand-colored tablecloth made from coarsely woven fabric and our “Loretta” candle holders perfectly matched the autumnal decor theme.

Contrasting, Intimate Lounge

In keeping with this highly personal day, each aspect of the design of the lounge areas was carefully thought out; neutral, natural tones such as dark brown, blue and gray ran through out and the muted colors of our velvet couch “Gabriel”, our armchair “Adalia” and our wooden side tables “Dario” and “Aluino” were the perfect contrast to our bright red oriental carpet “Aleta”. The combination of the red, orange and yellow was rounded off by our linen cushions “Cosme”.
